Overview

I am a proofreader with six years of editing experience across a range of fiction and non-fiction titles. I have completed widely recognised industry qualifications in proofreading and an MSc in Creative Writing (focusing on literary and fantasy fiction).

My work history includes freelancing as a proofreader for Hachette UK (Headline and Hodder Studio), Bloomsbury and Joffe Books. I specialise in crime/mystery, literary and historical fiction, and will be happy to work on fantasy, romance and women’s fiction, too.

My practice revolves around collaborative and open engagement with authors. Your work will be in safe hands with me! I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to place your manuscript in someone else’s hands; my master's degree gave me first-hand experience of what this is like. You can relax knowing I will be sensitive and encouraging in my approach.

'I’ve worked with Taliha on several projects and she has been a brilliant proofreader and copyeditor. She is quick, precise, and always sensitive to the tone of the author. I could not recommend her more highly!'
Izzy Everington, Hodder Studio

'Taliha did a wonderful proofreading job, with an eagle eye for house style and layout. I really appreciated her thorough, thoughtful approach and super-clear mark-up.'
Sarah Ruddick, Bloomsbury

The Hydrogen Revolution

Marco Alverà

Picture this: It's 2050. The looming shadow of climate change has finally been banished. The planet is stabilised. Rainforests and coral reefs are thriving. We are finally at equilibrium.
