Overview

I grew up around food and its prep. My Dad owned a deli and catering business, which taught her the key components of the industry. I have always loved to write and that led me to teaching literature and composition for many years in high school and college, as well as writing a newspaper column for over a decade. I later became an independent school administrator. I write full time now that I am retired, including novels and now a cookbook. Writing a cookbook with chef Lisa Rovick is an amazing opportunity. Cooking and talking about food are simply fun and take me back to memories of my Dad. From our childhood in New Jersey, my husband Neil, a concert violinist, and I have lived on both coasts, in the heartland, Paris, France and now Charleston. Our son Ted, is a research chemist and our daughter, Liz, a content strategist.
