Overview

I'm a Spanish-English bilingual acquisitions and developmental editor with experience in translation who loves to roll up her sleeves and dig into fiction and nonfiction content that strives to make a difference! Armed with a BA in History and Journalism, an MA in Hispanic Applied Linguistics, and nearly ten years of publishing experience, I can help you shape your inspiration into book ideas and grow your book ideas into books.

While most of my more recent experience is in specialized content, specifically social work and education, I have enjoyed my work with fiction and nonfiction trade books in the past and am open to working with specialized as well as general interest content. I frequently work with authors, both seasoned and new, on concept development to shape an initial book idea into a fuller, more fleshed-out premise, but what I most enjoy is developmental editing. I love to collaborate with authors to give a narrative a stronger, more engaging structure and to refine language for precision and clarity while embracing each author's own unique voice and style.

My experience also includes some Spanish-English literary translation, so I welcome any Spanish speakers who are seeking to make their work come alive in English!
