Overview
When you're writing a book, it’s easy to steer off track without a little one-on-one guidance from a professional. I have been a development editor since 2014 and have helped authors address several complex story issues.
I can work with you over the course of 4 - 6 weeks, guaranteeing you thorough, compassionate feedback on your story's development and/or manuscript.
With years of experience in theatre, broadcast media, and editing, I have a visceral understanding of story. There's nothing I love more than identifying the most engaging elements of story and working with a writer on what’s not.
I offer story development, development edititng, and sensitivity reading*.
I hold an MA (Distinction) in Professional Writing, and my debut novel, Body of Water, was one of ten books long-listed for the Polari First Book Prize.
My latest book, Behind the Seams, reached the 2021 BookLife Fiction Prize semifinals.
