Hi! I'm an author, editor and educator. I've written two books on Internet Publicity. I taught Internet Public Relations at Tulane University for 11 years. I hire writers all the time and I've helped thousands of authors promote their books online.
I was the Editorial Director for book publisher Loompanics Unlimited in 1992 when I started promoting books on GEnie, Prodigy and The WELL. In 1994, I began a business promoting books online for publishers and authors. That business has been resurrected several times under different names and is now called Orobora.
We have an excellent Amazon campaign. We have done dozens of blog tours and chat tours. We syndicate book excerpts to high-traffic websites. We pitch books to bloggers. We produce podcasts. We've been making author videos since 2004. We create and produce special events online, such as Read Across America Day, Ripley's Freaky Fridays, Health for Dummies Chat Series, and the Louder Than Words online TV syndicate for HCI Books.
Campaign descriptions, case histories, references and prices are all at the website. Send us an email today and we'll send you a proposal within 24 hours. Thanks!
First we took control of the Amazon Author Central account, then we did a makeover on the Amazon Author Profile Page and the Amazon Book Details Page. On the Author Page, we added author photos, author Twitter feed, author blog feed, author events, author bio, and a personal statement (see image). On the Book Detail Page, we added endorsement, reviews, author bio, personal statement, excerpt from book, list of highlights and marketing and rights info.
THEN we pitched the top 60 Amazon Reviewers for this book, resulting in 20 fast, favorable, free reviews from respected, unpaid Amazon top reviewers. The books has since taken off and won a Los Angeles Times Book Award.
