Overview
I help your document make sense and your prose sing. I'm especially interested in helping self-publishing authors prepare manuscripts for publication. Without a publisher, it's even more important to hire an experienced, professional copyeditor who can free your work from error, ensure continuity, take advantage of all the English language has to offer, and present as polished a text as possible to your readers.
I recently added sensitivity reading to my services. I'll carefully read your copy and flag any language or construction that could be considered offensive, sensitive, or triggering to your readers. This includes language potentially offensive to women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled persons, and other traditionally marginalized groups. Recognizing this language may exist in your copy, however unintentionally, gives you the power to consider changes before it is published.
What you'll get from me is honest assessment, detailed editing, and fast turnaround. Let's make something great together.

“Stephanie did a super job editing my three books. She is bright and a pleasure to work with. Her command of the English language is hard to match. She's a real pro, works quickly, and never complained about changing deadlines. She has an amazing eye that catches the slightest details. Her work is first-rate.”
