Silissa Kenney – Editor

Editor with five years experience at St. Martin's Press, specializing in mysteries, historical fiction and literary fiction.

Overview

I have a passion for helping authors shape their manuscripts and achieve their vision. I've built my career around words and storytelling through years of editing experience at St. Martin's Press (where I worked with debut authors, New York Times bestsellers, and everyone in between), freelance editing and copywriting. I specialize in editing fiction, from cozy mysteries to crime novels to literary fiction, and enjoy working with experienced or first time authors.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I've re-watched Fargo, The X-Files, Dr. Who, and 30 Rock many times. Many, many times. Okay, maybe I'm a little ashamed. But, compelling storytelling, rich character and relationship building, and interesting plotting is irresistible in any form. Those are the elements I look for and will help bring forth in your work.

There's nothing more exciting than diving into a new manuscript and helping an author craft their best work. I look forward to diving into yours!
