After gaining an MA in Children's Literature, I quickly learnt my craft at the Eve White Literary Agency, I went on to successfully edit as a freelancer, working with authors such as; Sarah Naughton, Kim Slater, June Taylor, Lara Williamson, Emma Haughton and Rupert Wallis. All these authors acquired deals with major publishing houses and have been shortlisted for literary prizes.I have the huge advantage of looking at a manuscript from both an agent and editorial perspective. Having a 360 degree vision and point of reference for a narrative is essential for turning a rough draft into a polished piece of literature.
I'm a collaborative and engaging editor who prides herself in working closely with unknown writers and shaping them into prize-winning authors. With a lot of hard work, commitment and discipline, I am confident that I can raise my client's standards of writing significantly higher, and increase the chances of improvement and success.I not only undertake the edit, but will write you a 2-4 page critical overview of your novel. This has proved invaluable to the authors that I have worked with, and my aim is to always go above and beyond the average edit. I'm an experienced editor and trained journalist specialising in SEO, creative content, and PR. I advise businesses on brand/storytelling content. Due to this, I have a reinforced understanding of how to optimise every single word of a novel, to ensure a level of commercial success.
I am the director of Narratorial, a digital content creation and editorial service. My business focuses on creating SEO driven content for business websites, and fiction editorial.
From manuscript project conception to completion, I worked tirelessly with authors to perfect their novels. These included, Sarah Naughton, Kim Slater, Lara Williamson, Emma Haughton, Rupert Wallis and June Taylor. I also worked with the godfather of young adult fiction, Melvin Burgess on his novel, Hunger. It takes tenacity, creativity and an in-depth understanding of narratives to ensure a novel reaches perfection.
I built and managed Eve White's children's list. Successful project delivery included authors such as; Ruth Warburton, Kate Scott and June Taylor.
