Sheila Bugler

Sheila Bugler – Editor

Creative, experienced editor and published author. I'm particularly interested in crime fiction and helping writers find their 'voice'.

Overview

I've been working as a professional author and editor for twelve years. I am passionate about good writing and I love helping writers find the best way to tell their story. As well as writing and editing, I also work as a writing tutor and mentor, helping aspiring authors find that all-elusive publishing deal. I have a particular interest in helping authors write synopses and blurbs as I know from personal experience how difficult it can be to get these right.

I'm an author so I understand what it feels like to get feedback on your work. I also know the value a good editor brings. I would never consider publishing a novel without the help of a good editor; neither should you.

Services I offer include proof-reading, copy editing, structural edits and help with submissions to agents and publishers. I work with established and first-time authors across different genres.

As a crime fiction writer (and reviewer), I am particularly attuned to the crime fiction market. I understand what makes a good crime novel, the clichés you should avoid, the different sub-genres within crime fiction, and the sorts of books that sell well in today's market.

I'm a writer who loves writing and helping other writers achieve their dreams.
