Overview

Even after 20 years as a book editor, I still love my what I do. My specialty is Bible-based non-fiction, with extensive experience in Christian living, devotionals, and Bible studies. I've worked on, and enjoyed, everything from children's picture books to heady theological tomes. I have first-hand knowledge of Asperger's syndrome, blended families, and I'm also a classically trained musician.

When I edit a manuscript, I have two goals. My first goal is to make the project as perfect as humanly possible. Second, I work to guide the author in improving his or her craft by offering feedback on the "why" behind many changes I make. Authors have often expressed gratitude for my honest, gentle, and sometimes humorous feedback.

While I have worked with a large number of first-time authors, including Sheila Gregoire, Shannon Popkin, and Lisa VanEngen, I've also worked with seasoned authors, including Elizabeth George and John Phillips.
