Sally Osborn - Editor

Thiviers, France

Editor and proofreader with 25 years' experience offering freelance services to individual authors and publishers, both trade and academic.

Overview

Whatever you're writing, you want your words to shine and to be the best they can. This is where an independent eye can often help, by spotting the problems that you're too close to see. I can work with your words and within your voice to achieve the most suitable result for your chosen audience. Whether you require a straightforward proofread, more substantial editing or a structural rewrite, I can work with you to achieve the result you desire.

I offer editing and proofreading of novels, non-fiction books, dissertations, papers and articles for both experienced and novice authors. As a published author myself I understand the pressures of the writing process, and much of my work is with authors whose first language is not English, particularly as I speak good French. I have a PhD in History and a background in management, so am happy working on both academic and professional publications as well as fiction.

The Art of Action: How Leaders Close the Gaps between Plans, Actions, and Results

Stephen Bungay

Examining the gap between what managers plan, what they do, and the outcomes they achieve, Stephen Bungay uses the nineteenth-century Prussian Army—and the unpredictable environment of the battlefield—to show business leaders how they can build more effective and productive organizations. Bungay provides a fresh look at how managers can turn planning into execution, and execution into results.
