Ruth Strother - Editor

Riverside, California

I am an award-winning editor and writer with a sharp eye and a creative ear specializing in nonfiction books for children and adults.

Overview

I can help you transform your ideas and manuscripts into riveting books. With nearly thirty years of experience in the book publishing industry, I bring you skills, knowledge, and intuition that will help you craft a book that speaks directly to your target audience. A compulsion for accuracy, a creative ear, and an artistic sensibility combine to set me apart from the average wordsmith.

I specialize in children’s nonfiction books, especially those about animals, nature, and science, but I have extensive experience editing biographies, how-to books, spiritual books, memoirs, academic books, fiction, and more, for adults as well as for children. If it’s a book, I can edit it. My clients include John Wiley & Sons, Quarto Publishing, becker&mayer! and Sleeping Bear Press.
