Overview

I have spent 30 years in Publishing, gaining expertise in a number of different disciplines.

BOOK DESIGNER

As a graphic designer, I have designed well over a hundred books, magazines, portfolios, chapbooks, catalogs, and more. Ads, promotional material, websites, etc. are also part of my repertoire.

I am also the co-editor, designer and publisher of the acclaimed art book: THE COLLECTORS' BOOK OF VIRGIL FINLAY.

I act as art director for Cory Glaberson's THE DIALOGUE PROJECT print series that brings together modern comic artists with classic poetry. Prints by Michael Zulli, Rick Geary and Douglas Klauba are available. Upcoming prints are by Howard V. Chaykin, Mark Nelson, Mark Wheatley and Bill Plympton.

Specialties: Science fiction, fantasy, horror, comics in art, film and fiction.

AUTHOR-EDITOR
I've just finished writing BATMAN: A CELEBRATION OF THE CLASSIC TV SHOW with Joe Desris for Titan Books. Due out in October, 2015. Always interested in film, I wrote a number of stories for magazines like CINEFANTASTIQUE and FILMFAX, and am working on an expansive history of fantasy film from the silent era to today.

As an editor, I specialize in science fiction and fantasy anthologies, my latest is WORLDS OF EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS edited with Mike Resnick. I have also edited UNREPENTANT: A CELEBRATION OF THE WRITINGS OF HARLAN ELLISON, TEMPORARY WALLS with Greg Ketter and CHILLED TO THE BONE.

I've packaged books for publishers and conventions. DreamHaven Books published the 1st US edition of Vargo Statten's CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON novelization. And the MadCon convention published HARLEQUINS.
