Overview

Skills DO translate

I started my freelancing career during my university years by translating Minecraft books. I moved on to edit and translate novels, and I worked with a small publishing company on their project to find new aspiring authors and help them get published. All this happened in Budapest, Hungary.

When I moved to the UK for an MA degree, I found myself reading and writing in English 90% of the time. I decided to stay and got a job in London so this percentage has not changed ever since.

I understand the struggles and insecurities that come with writing in a language other than your own and I believe that I can help you move past your troubles. Having a good story structure, developing engaging characters, using or subverting existing tropes, these are skills that are not language-specific. The same goes for most principles of creative writing and developmental editing which is why I believe I can help you on your writing journey.

Spread that superhero love

My most recent job was as a project coordinator and assistant editor in an office filled to the brim with figurines and comic books. I worked with franchises such as DC Comics, Marvel, Wizarding World, Star Trek, and many more. I have written and edited magazines and nonfiction books about wizards, spaceships, and superheroes so if you are looking for an enthusiastic nerd who also happens to be an editor for your article, magazine, or book on pop culture, look no more!
