Hello! So great to meet you - looking forward to working together.

I'll give you a sense of my background. My experience in the publishing world represents a really interesting cross-section of work. Most recently, I managed Kobo's Original content program where I was responsible for all acquisitions to the program. This gave me an expert understanding of the uber-commercial world of eBooks. I have worked extensively with both traditionally published and self-published authors. Prior to my time at Kobo, I worked at Canada's premier literary agency, The Cooke Agency (Now CookeMcDermid). I was responsible for author query assessment, and preparing client submissions to both Big 5 Publishers and indie presses. Being on both sides of this process has given me an expertise in query letter writing, synopsis writing and editing, and assessing commercial viability.

As a freelancing professional I am efficient, clear, and collaborative. I like to dive deep into discussions with the author to find out what makes you and your story unique. Given my current workload, I am currently only taking on query letter review projects at this time. I have expertise across multiple genres, with a focus on literary fiction and romance.
