I worked across a variety of publishing formats including: illustrated non-fiction, illustrated fiction, activity, and picture books.
Key responsibilities included: managing and designing a range of creative projects from conception through to production and checking files post production. I was responsible for commissioning and overseeing both illustrators and freelance designers, as well as liaising with a number of internal departments to guide projects to a high standard of completion on time and to budget.
I supported and gave guidance to two Assistant Designers and a Designer.
I worked across a variety of publishing formats including: fiction, non-fiction, activity, gift, picture books, licensing and custom.
Additional responsibilities included: assisting the picture book, licensing and publicity department. I was a member of the Charity Committee and a qualified First Aider.
