I am an experienced editor, with over 10 years of experience across a range of non-fiction subjects including History, Area Studies, Creative Writing, Literature, Business & Management, Energy & Environment and Museums & Heritage. Having cut my teeth working on a business-to-business sewerage magazine, I can be guaranteed to get excited by any topic!

My main subject specialisms are History, Literature and Creative Writing. On the History side, I've worked on a broad range of books and topics, from medieval to contemporary, from British to global, and from emotions to medicine. In Literature and Creative Writing, I've worked on books ranging from literary criticism to practical how-to guides designed to stimulate the aspiring creative writer. I have primarily worked on books aimed at readers who are new to the subject, whether students or general readers, so have considerable experience in ensuring that a book is as accessible and engaging as possible for those readerships.

I love working with authors to develop ideas and content that will meet the needs of their target audience, and that will engage that audience from the outset. I am skilled in offering a balanced assessment of proposals, chapters and manuscripts, and advising on tone, level, clarity and structure.
