Overview

Hi, I'm Noelle. I’m a visual designer and illustrator living in Los Angeles with a cat and too many plants. My work is clean, vibrant, and often good humored. I am looking forward to working with authors to create covers that charm and engage their audience!

My background: I majored in Communication Design at Parsons in New York City. For the past several years I've been honing my illustration skills and working my way up to Senior Marketing Designer at a tech company. My freelance work varies from branding, web design, illustration, and typographic design.

Work experience

Freelance Graphic & Web Designer

Self-employed
January, 2012 – Present (almost 7 years)

Projects have included branding, marketing material, wallpapers, and websites for large corporations, small businesses, and working professionals.

Senior Marketing Designer

Animoto
February, 2015 – Present (over 3 years)

The marketing design team is responsible for a wide variety of work including e-mail & social campaigns, iconography, print materials, internal goods, infographics, and some web design. The majority of our work requires original illustration and animation.
Having only 2 designers on the team means that we both are highly involved with every aspect of each piece. We work closely with the marketing team and developers to create really effective campaigns that not only grow our user base, but also excite our existing users.
Over the past two years we've developed a visual brand personality that more closely reflects Animoto's internal temperament: fun, charming, and approachable.

Graphic Design & Video Fellow

The Huffington Post
March, 2014 – September, 2014 (6 months)

On top of working as an illustrator and infographic producer, I was the sole graphic and motion designer on a team that developed new video series and long form stories. I worked closely with editors to create educational and sharable content. Many of my pieces went viral, some with well over a million views and thousands of shares.

Graphic Design Intern

ducduc llc / The New Traditionalists
February, 2012 – May, 2012 (3 months)

I aided in company branding, which included designing logos, web pages, e-mail blasts, and marketing materials. I also worked on photo retouching, product book layouts, and assemblage of media products.

Graphic Design Intern

Laird + Partners
June, 2011 – August, 2011 (2 months)

I assisted with conception and design of ad campaigns for Donna Karan and DKNY. I worked on packaging and invitation design, printed promotional material, photo editing, and research for concepts. I also helped design and assemble material for Donna Karan’s book, Stephan Weiss: Connecting the Dots.
