Nic Sclama – Editor

I have over seven years of experience in traditional book publishing at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Abrams Books. Books I have edited have received multiple starred reviews and landed on the NYT bestseller list. My specialty is YA fantasy but I've also worked on fantasy for ages 8-12 and contemporary/realistic fiction for teens and middle school age readers. I'm a very hands-on editor and my goal is to help bring your vision for your book alive. Together we will make your book the best version of itself so readers will fall in love with your characters and stories!

A little about me: I have a dog named Captain Elias Bede (also answers to Mr. Wiggle Butt) who snores on my lap while I'm editing and only sometimes uses my laptop as a pillow to get extra scratches when I'm trying to work. I love all things Disney and have Very Strong Feelings about how awesome Maleficent is. I've been known to pause time while binging TV to fit in a few more episodes. I'm addicted to seltzer.
