The underlying code structure of an ebook file determines how it's going to be displayed on different devices. I follow industry-standard coding practices to make sure your ebook file has a solid structure so it displays consistently across all devices.
How I do it:
1. I take your fully designed print layout in its source format (InDesign, Word or whatever you've used).
2. Some formatting style that exists in print book makes no sense in ebook format. So I clean that up.
3. Then I add required HTML & CSS code that make up an ePub file and make sure everything looks right.
4. I send a draft for reviewing. Once you are happy about how it looks, I deliver the final ebook files.
