Writing is my passion! I started my career as a newspaper journalist and later switched to the corporate world working on newsletters, websites, speeches and blogs. Now I write and edit short stories and novels. My debut novel, "The Color of My Soul," won the Washington Writers' Publishing House Fiction Prize in 2011 and my short story collection, "Let No One Weep for Me" was released this year. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from Hampton University and a Master of Arts in Writing from Johns Hopkins University.
