Graduate of Whitworth University and the Denver Publishing Institute. Writer and editor of stories, poetry, and a large variety of other texts. I love working closely with language and am passionate about words. I'm currently looking to gain some experience editing manuscripts.
Read poetry submissions and selected submissions to publish. Communicated with writers and worked with readers to create an excellent version of the publication.
Performed T.A. duties for three classes: Creative Writing, Poetry Writing, and Writing II. Assisted professor with grading and organization of materials, lead class when professor was sick, and worked with students individually and in groups to improve their writing.
Read and evaluated poetry submissions and attended meetings to decide which pieces to publish.
Assisted professor in research of historical Chinese missionaries, transcribed historical hand-written letters and documents, and edited documents for clarity and typographical errors.
Led writing workshop for middle school students, taught principles of creative writing, worked with students in a group and individually to improve writing, assisted in publication of anthology of student writing.
