Overview

I'm a writer, editor, and curator with 15+ years experience in publishing, academia, and arts administration. I received my Ph.D. in art & visual culture from Western University in 2012. My writing has been published in numerous books, magazines, encyclopedias, and academic journals throughout North America and Europe.

I was raised in the Toronto area and spent my early life as a competitive figure skater before transitioning into academia.

Most recently, I edited Ojibway author Eli Baxter's memoir "Aki-Wayn-Zih" about growing up in Northern Ontario, which was published by McGill-Queens University Press. The book was awarded the 2022 Governor General's award for English-language nonfiction.

At present, my services are available to editing and writing for manuscripts. I'm interested in providing professional services that articulate the author's voice while restricting my own. I keep to strict timelines and my communication is clear and concise.

My experience in academia allows me to work with technical and accurate language, though I've also published articles that utilizes prose. It's important for me to enjoy the process of writing, editing, and publishing, so I like to keep work light and enjoyable.
