I'm an independent, award-winning PR that works with a range of top brands and high profile, established authors. I bring authors - and their books to life - with impactful features and interviews secured as well a range of creative initiatives such as awards etc. I also work with the world's largest learning company, Pearson, and promote a range of literacy initiatives on their behalf. My campaigns for authors have frequently been recognised as some of the best that have been conducted by the independent Publishers Publicity Circle here in the UK.

Read for My School is an initiative to encourage children aged seven to 13 years to read for pleasure both offline and online. MB Comms was tasked with raising awareness of the initiative and encouraging participation in the initiative, specifically targeting schools, teachers and parents and children.

Personal PR for Barbara Taylor Bradford OBE. Activity includes supporting author throughout the year and keeping her profile prominent beyond book publications. Created 'A Woman of Substance Awards' to mark the 30th anniversary of the best-selling book and also 'The Write Stuff', a short story competition aimed at encouraging the next generation of female writers.

Booktime

January, 2007 – January, 2014 (almost 7 years)

Booktime is the national free books programme for Reception-aged children in England, run by independent charity Book Trust and Pearson. Booktime provides a free book pack for children to share and enjoy with their family and friends. PR for this campaign ran for nine years with the focus of encouraging parents/carers and children to enjoy the pleasure of reading together.
