I am a southern gothic fiction writer who grew up in the coal mining community of Woodbine in southeastern Kentucky. My poetry, short stories, and other writing to date have appeared in the e-zines associated with the now-defunct 3Sides Literary Agency, the limited Stories from the Red Light District anthology, in various projects associated with Apex Publications, and in the Help anthology. I've worked as a book reviewer and professional copy editor for the last ten years.
Midnight is my first published novel.
Freelance copy editing work for Crossroads Press. I handle fantasy and horror manuscripts.
Harlan County Horrors is Apex's regional horror anthology, mining Kentucky for supernatural, dark and fantastic short stories. Edited by Mari Adkins. HCH is my love-story to Harlan County.
I am a former senior editor at Little, Brown with over a decade of experience editing acclaimed and bestselling children's and YA fiction.
