Lucas Gonzalez

Lucas Gonzalez – Editor

Editor (and dog expert) specializing in dark fiction from short stories to full-length horror and thrillers.

Overview

Working with an editor shouldn't be a scary, uncertain process—let's keep the dread and suspense to your plots, not the process! I maintain a high-level of customer courtesy to ensure that my client feels respected, comfortable, and understood. I believe that author-editor relationships founded on trust will translate into greater transparency between authors and their readers.

Along with patience, intuition, and an eye for detail, I will work with efficiency to complete a project in a timely manner, whether it be a big-picture developmental edit or assessment, or a more detail-oriented copyedit or proofread.

I'm a member of the Northwest Independent Editors Guild and a contractor for a Seattle-based editorial firm. I've worked on proofreading, copyediting, and manuscript styling with clients such as Amazon Publishing, National Geographic, and Seventeen Magazine.

I'm also a professional dog trainer, and I love working on all genres of dog-related manuscripts!
