Overview

I am a copy-editor and proofreader, with 11 years experience, working with mainstream publishers, businesses and individual authors. I have been a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders since 2004.

Do you want a well-presented, grammatically correct document that stands out from the crowd? I will check all written and online material and weed out those mistakes and inconsistencies which spoil a professional piece of work and are so annoying to readers. I welcome text of any length, regular contract work or one-off projects. I'm available to work all year round, to tight deadlines and guarantee complete confidentiality at all times.

I've worked on a wide variety of texts, including children's and adult fiction, non-fiction books, financial journals and magazines, and company literature for a wide variety of clients, including mainstream publishers, design companies, individual authors and students. Non-fiction topics I've worked on include psychology, social welfare, environmental studies, humanities and international relations.

I also work with first-time authors and find it valuable experience helping them take their first cautious steps towards publishing their very precious words:

"I found Liz through the internet and asked for help proofreading my new ebook. As all novice writers I felt the need to wrap my first book in cotton wool and guard it with my life. Liz took it into her professional and capable hands and did a fantastic job in the time scale given, and at a very reasonable cost. She is reliable and trustworthy and I can’t recommend her service highly enough." - Susan Willis,Interim Food Technologist and contemporary fiction novelist.
I would love to hear from you and help you get that perfect book ready.

Diagnosing and Treating Complex Trauma

Trudy Mooren, Martijn Stöfsel

The term complex trauma refers to a broad range of symptoms resulting from exposure to prolonged or repeated severely traumatizing events. This broad spectrum of psychological symptoms complicates the formulation of an all-encompassing explicit definition, which in turn complicates the creation of specific treatment guidelines. In Diagnosing and Treating Complex Trauma, Trudy Mooren and Martij... read more
