Liz Kalloch - Designer

San Rafael, CA, United States

Designer & illustrator with over 20 years experience working w/ a wide range of publishers as well as self-publishing authors.

Overview

As a Graphic Designer, Art Director and Illustrator, my mission is to understand the nuance at the heart of each of my projects and communicate that distinction visually so the rest of the world understands it as well. Because, at the end of the day we know that, like it or not, books are judged by their covers.

I’ve worked with artists, musicians, publishers, movie studios and web developers, and whether I’m working with a musician on her latest CD, a writer on a design for his book cover, or a publisher on a series of books or calendars, every project has one requirement in common — that I look beneath the surface to capture the true essence of the story being told and create a visual home for it to live and breathe in.

My education in Comparative Literature and the Fine Arts taught me the art of storytelling and composition. I view graphic design as more than just text laid out on a page, a color palette and a selection of visual images, but instead, see it as the art of revealing and highlighting stories in a visual manner.

My goal as a designer and illustrator is to help you communicate your idea, translate your vision, your story and your dream into visual reality.

What's the story you have to tell?
