I have worked as an editor since 1998, across a range of genres. I enjoy finding practical ways to help your project shine.
I’m a highly trained publishing professional with 19 years’ experience as an editor and project manager, including a decade as an in-house editor; full-time freelance since 2008. I have extensive experience of working on general trade non-fiction, especially in the areas of architecture, art and craft, fashion and cookery. I also copy-edit and proofread fiction. I am known for fixing things, sorting out text and making it work better.
I know when to look at the big picture and when to focus on the minute details. If you give me a project I will identify exactly what you need in editorial terms, carry out the task efficiently, confidently and to a high standard, yet return your work with all its original character intact. I also take pride in being nice to work with and offering my clients excellent, reliable service.
