Overview
My background has involved a mix of publishing work and corporate writing and editing. This blend means I can content edit, line edit, book doctor, and even ghost write on a variety of subjects, including data science, medicine, and manufacturing. I most enjoy working with business book authors—it’s fun seeing how the soup is made—but I’ve also edited health and wellness, memoir, and even a little fiction (literary and horror). (I'm still waiting for a business book/horror mashup. If you have it, I really want to read it!)
My nonfiction editing superpowers include structural work (getting that Table of Contents into shape), explaining or reducing jargon, and helping technical SMEs and non-native English speakers address readers using a more conversational, active voice.
I am often told by my clients that my edit letters are clear, insightful, and kind. I have a knack for intuiting what authors mean to say, and I think of us as a team of two; I’m there to help your book sound like you on your best day.
