As an award-winning author of several suspense novels, I know all the struggles authors face every day on their writing journey. This is what prompted me to start coaching and editing a decade ago. In January 2020, I quit my corporate career after 22 years and founded Write Your Best Book, a service provider for authors that helps them write their best book through coaching, editing, online courses, and downloadable resources. I am also the host of my own top-ten rated podcast for authors, Write Your Best Book, which features some of the biggest influencers in the writing community, like Jane Friedman, Derek Murphy, Jerry B Jenkins, Jeff Goins, and Reedy's own Ricardo Fayet! Aside from author coaching services, where I offer one on one support to authors as they plot, plan, and write their books, I also run an editing team serviced by several of the top book editors I could find. We offer line/copy editing, content/developmental editing, proofreading, blurb editing, and query editing, as well as support to authors through the self-publishing and/or querying process. If you work with us, you'll receive personalized, customized support and services, and we don't just edit your book then disappear. We support you through the entire process, whether you choose to self-publish or seek an agent. There was no one around to help me over 10 years ago when I first got serious about writing novels, so I vowed that one day, if I was even in a position to help, I would do all I could to help as many authors as possible see their writing dreams come true.
I have worked with over 300 authors publish over 100 books ranging from novels of every genre to self-help, memoirs, inspirational/devotional, and even guidebooks, real estate books, and other nonfiction books. Some of our all-star clients include Jen Davis (Cooper Construction Series), DL Blade (Chosen Coven Trilogy), Delta James, and CA Harms. We accept manuscripts across all genres and even nonfiction. But some of our sweet spots include romance, suspense, thrillers, and fantasy.
Finally, a bit about me: I live in Central Kentucky with my two rowdy pups, and I enjoy working on my 100 year old home, sweet tea, dragonflies, pink and purple things, festsivals, hot caramel drinks, thunderstorms, and collecting vintage/antiques.
