Kay Downer - Editor

I'm a curiosity-driven, grammar-conscious, meticulous editor with strong interest in and knowledge of health and medical topics. I am seeking work that will utilize my 10 years of writing and editing experience, broad science background, and strong organizational skills while providing new challenges, flexibility, and opportunities for personal growth.

I started my education at Harvard College, earning a bachelor’s degree with honors in biology in 2003. I then earned a master’s degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University in 2004. Since then, my work has included science writing, medical editing, and project management for journals in various biomedical fields.
