Editing begins with understanding the subject. A few where I have hands on experience include university teaching, farming, business management, translating, environmental non-profits, construction, foreign aid projects, conflict mediation, journalism, and economic surveys in eastern Europe. For new writers I can help with the basics of style, research, structure, and tone. For the experienced writer I offer a good eye and ear for nuance, logic, and tone.
