Katie Karas – Editor

I'm a passionate copy editor and proofreader who loves to make sure books are professional, polished, stylistically consistent, and compelling. I've also worked as a developmental editor, doing in-depth work to create a fantastic book from scratch. Right now I'm focused on later-in-the-process work to make manuscripts sparkle and shine, whether you're self-publishing or working with a publishing house.

I've had the pleasure of editing multiple NYT bestsellers during my 8 years of working with Gabrielle Bernstein. The titles I edited include The Universe Has Your Back, Super Attractor, Spirit Junkie, and more. I also worked with Gabby to develop and teach a book-publishing course called Bestseller Masterclass. That all being said, I've got lots of experience in self-help and spirituality, including distilling and translating esoteric concepts so readers who may be new to them can grasp them and benefit from them.

I'm serious about creating polished, beautiful copy -- but without a red pen in hand I'm a lighthearted person with (I think) a good sense of humor. I also meet deadlines like it's my job. Because it is.
