Since setting up as a freelance editor and writer I have worked on countless bestselling titles. My clients include the top publishers in the UK, such as Penguin Random House, Hachette, Pan Macmillan and Simon & Schuster. Books I have recently worked on include Ed Sheeran's A Visual Journey, Brian Blessed's Absolute Pandemonium, Gogglebook: The Wit and Wisdom of Gogglebox, Kate Morton's The Lake House and Kate Hamer's The Girl in the Red Coat.
Penguin Random House
During my time at Penguin Random House I published a range of bestselling commercial non-fiction and many Sunday Times bestsellers, including Dad's War by Chris Tarrant, Life After You by Lucie Brownlee (Richard and Judy pick), Buster: The Dog Who Saved A Thousand Lives by Will Barrow (no. 1 bestseller), Help Me by Katie Beers and Shamed by Sarbjit Kaur Athwal. Authors included Francesca Martinez, Fatima Whitbread, Norman Mailer and the website brand Damn You Autocorrect!
Michael O'Mara Books
While at Michael O'Mara I commissioned and edited innumerable bestselling titles, including two memoirs with John Barrowman, the autobiography of Craig Revel Horwood, the first-ever unofficial biography of Cheryl Cole and fan-favourite parodies of Twilight, as well as many other humour and gift books and biographies.
Contender Books
Contender Books was an independent publishing company specialising in popular culture and celebrity-based non-fiction. Authors included Shane Richie, Will Young and Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen. My role entailed independent management of book creation, from acquisition to finished copies, encompassing the full range of editorial and production duties.
