Juliet Van Oss - Editor

London, United Kingdom

V experienced fiction/non-fiction editor with an ability to improve prose without taking it over and an intuitive feel for an author's voice

Overview

I'm an editor/line editor/structural editor of long standing, with a lot of experience in both fiction and non-fiction. After more than 25 years (10 at 2 top publishing houses, 18 at my own desk) I'm a sure and confident hand. I've learnt to apply a delicacy, and can subtly encourage and/or effect huge improvements without taking it over. I have a gift for clarity and organisation when required, and at the same time have an intuitive feel for an author's voice, a clear vision for what's required and a sharp eye for cracks in a story. I also absolutely love the work. And words.
