Josh Neal - Designer

I use digital and traditional techniques, to create bold and colourful illustrations for short fiction magazines and editorials

Overview

Since leaving University I have worked on numerous high profile projects from Computer Arts Magazine to the New York food magazine, 'Put A Egg On It'. I am currently staff illustrator for a short fiction magazine called Open Pen magazine.

Recently I have illustrated for a drumming book, for American drummer Jimmy Kadesch, who has performed on the Conan O'Brien show. My latest work has focused on starting my own small collaborative press, called Muster Press, which provides an opportunity to collaborate and create artist led project's. We produce a variety of work, from children's books, to indie comics so I can adapt my style to fit and complement most genres.

Through every project I bring my bold style and match it to what my client needs, ensuring their work is able to shine through with the help of my illustrations

The Open Pen Anthology is a celebration of that, and a celebration of its authors. Inside you'll find some of our favourite stories from the last five years, a... read more
