Working on a crime, thriller, or mystery? As both a writer & editor, I know what it takes to get your work out there. Let's get started!

Overview

I am a freelance editor specializing in developmental/substantive editing & final proofreading for works of fiction. With a background in the legal field, my focus as a developmental/substantive editor is to work with authors writing in the genres of crime, thriller, mystery and suspense. I work with individual authors as well as independent publishing houses. I have worked with Clear Fork Publishing providing final proofreading.
Currently, I work with Pandamoon Publishing providing mainly developmental/substantive editing and line editing. However, I have also provided copy editing and final proofreading as well. Additionally, I have assisted in the Acquisitions Department for Pandamoon Publishing. I have read through submissions and provided comments for the Acquisitions Manager as well as participated in Twitter pitch parties to invite submissions.

Along with being an editor, I am also a published children's book author of both fiction and non-fiction. This has been an asset in working with authors. I understand both the writer and editor perspective and work with you to make your manuscript the best it can be. With that being said, I have had experience submitting to literary agencies as well as publishers and can assist in query letter/submission packages.

I am a member of The Editorial Freelancers Association and The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).

I look forward to working with you in your writing endeavors!
