I offer book editing, production, and publishing services. I am experienced with every step a book takes as it journeys from manuscript to bound book, so I work with each author to design a program that fulfills their unique needs. For example, I can help if you:
- Have written a book and are not sure what to do now
- Know you want to self-publish and now need the team to do it
- Are in the midst of writing and need help getting it right
- Have had a manuscript rejected and need it fixed
- Want someone to read your book and write a report on what it needs
- Have concerns about whether the structure holds things together
- Are wondering if the content flows well
- Need someone to bring out your genius by asking the right questions
- Want to be sure you have the grammar right and the typos fixed
- Would like to ensure that your book meets professional publishing standards
I spent four years working full-time for Sounds True, sharpening my skills in the art of spiritual publishing. I held dual roles as a developmental editor and as a production editor, working on everything from titling books for the marketplace, to querying authors on content, to hiring freelancers, to ensuring everything is done according to the Chicago Manual of Style, to collaborating with interior and cover designers.
I have been offering a wide range of publishing services to freelance clients, on a contractual basis, throughout my 14-year career in publishing. I have experience creating contracts and work-for-hire agreements that exceed author's initial service expectations. Whether I am supporting your efforts in traditional publishing or managing your self-publishing project, we can work together to create amazing books.
