Reading and writing have been my lifelong passions, and I spent my childhood devouring, creating, and acting out stories. After earning an HBA in English Language & Literature from Trent University, it was a natural transition into the world of publishing. I got my feet wet as an editorial assistant for an academic publisher, and later pursued a certificate in Creative Book Publishing from Humber College. Since then, I have gone on to work for both trade and educational publishers and have a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the business.
In the summer of 2015, wishing to lead a more creative life and truly share my love of the written word, I embarked on a freelance writing and editing career. I offer a comprehensive range of services designed to help authors realize their creative goals, including: copy editing, proofreading, manuscript evaluations, and writing cover and promotional copy.
Throughout my career I have developed a reputation as a reliable and self-directed individual with a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy many long-standing relationships with presses and independent authors alike. Due to my well-developed skills of organization and time management, all projects I take on are completed on time and to a high standard.
So, if you are ready to get past that tricky second draft, start a blog and grow a business, or have decided to self publish and are looking for a little extra help . . . I'm your gal!
