Jennifer Dinsmore - Editor

Ontario, Canada

I'm a dynamic & proven editor with over eight years of publishing experience. Ready to get past that tricky second draft? I'm your gal!

Overview

Reading and writing have been my lifelong passions, and I spent my childhood devouring, creating, and acting out stories. After earning an HBA in English Language & Literature from Trent University, it was a natural transition into the world of publishing. I got my feet wet as an editorial assistant for an academic publisher, and later pursued a certificate in Creative Book Publishing from Humber College. Since then, I have gone on to work for both trade and educational publishers and have a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the business.

In the summer of 2015, wishing to lead a more creative life and truly share my love of the written word, I embarked on a freelance writing and editing career. I offer a comprehensive range of services designed to help authors realize their creative goals, including: copy editing, proofreading, manuscript evaluations, and writing cover and promotional copy.

Throughout my career I have developed a reputation as a reliable and self-directed individual with a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy many long-standing relationships with presses and independent authors alike. Due to my well-developed skills of organization and time management, all projects I take on are completed on time and to a high standard.

So, if you are ready to get past that tricky second draft, start a blog and grow a business, or have decided to self publish and are looking for a little extra help . . . I'm your gal!

Pyaasa & Letters to My Grandma

Anusree Roy

A moving and heartfelt play, Pyaasa illustrates with subtlety and nuanced truth the inequalities and injustices that persist through the Indian caste system. Letters to My Grandma weaves together the remarkable stories of two women, inextricably linking their histories and delving into how the hatred bred between Hindus and Muslims in the Old World consumes families in Canada today.
