Overview

I am a Nashville-based editor with fifteen years’ experience in book and content publishing. I worked for four years as a managing editor for Thomas Nelson Publishers (now Harper Collins), then transitioned to freelance work, managing and editing books and curriculum for various clients for another five years. Most recently I spent five years at Ramsey Solutions (Dave Ramsey’s company) where I first led a small copyediting team and grew to lead the entire content development team of more than thirty writers and editors. I transitioned back to freelance editing in 2018.

I have worked on New York Times bestsellers, Wall Street Journal bestsellers, and Parent's Choice Award books. Genres include non-fiction/memoir, fiction, personal development, and children’s books.

I love working closely with authors and publishers to create books people enjoy reading. I believe even business books can be interesting and life-changing! My goal in editing is to maintain the author's voice, and this often requires having multiple conversations with an author, reading content they have previously published, or listening to audio of them speaking. I then work closely with the author or publisher through multiple versions to get to a final, author-approved manuscript.
