Jemma Beedie

Jemma Beedie – Editor

I like running, cycling, travel, food, cats and feminism. Cats most, obviously.

Overview

I'm a cat-loving creative, a renegade editor with a heart of gold. I love getting writing just right, tightening its up so that the true value shines through. I have three degrees in literature and have worked in journalism since the age of 16, so you know I'm qualified.

As the sole full-time journalist for a fortnightly newspaper I was in charge of sourcing and writing stories, editing submissions, and layout for the paper.

From Glasgow to Saturn

Aug, 2013 — Aug, 2014 (about 1 year)

I led the editorial team on Glasgow University Creative Writing department's famed literary journal while completing my masters. We published a special edition commemorating the Commonwealth Games as well as featuring nationally renowned writers such as Alan Bissett and Kev Scott.
