I am More Than a Daydream

Jennae Cecelia

How often do you daydream? For most, it is many times a day. We stare out the window instead of the task in front of us. We fantasize about where we would much rather be, the significant other we long for, our ideal job, the body we hope to see in the mirror, a healthier mindset, pure happiness in our lives and the lives of others, peace in this chaotic world. However, how many of us daydreame... read more

Uncaged Wallflower

Jennae Cecelia

Uncaged Wallflower is for those who feel trapped in the thoughts their minds produce, unable to express them with the rest of the world out of fear of critique or disagreement. For the people who need an extra dose of positivity in their day. This is not a poetry book for you to read and relate to in a sorrow filled way. It is for you to read and say yes, I can be better, and I will.

Table for One

Laura Ashley Laraque

This collection of poetry talks about a woman who has experienced what many have, heart break. In the midst of her pain, she takes on a journey to learn to love herself. Also, expressing emotions and looking back on memories that although left scars, have led her to sit at her table alone. Finding yourself is crucial and she explains how she accomplishes this day by day.

Then & Now: Changed Perspectives of a Young Widow

Michelle D. Jarvie

Then & Now: Changed Perspectives of a Young Widow is a short book about the journey after traumatic death. Unlike other grief books that concentrate on the first year or two, it is meant for readers who need a fuller picture (six years) of the recovery process. The situation in our public schools in this country is an embarrassment. How bad is it? We live in a country where, in 11 states, you can make more money on welfare than as a public school teacher. Our national test scores rank below countries such as Estonia and Hungary. The school environment has eroded to the point where the inmates now run the asylum. The greatest country in the world has ... read more

The Gifts that Lie Hidden within Difficult Emotions (Part 1): Confusion

Yuichi Handa

Discover and uncover the hidden narrative within difficult mental and emotional statesIn some self-help and meditation circles, it’s common to hear the refrain, “Just sit with your feelings.” What’s often left unsaid is how each emotion has its own signature movement or “story to tell.” In other words, sitting with confusion is different from sitting with anger, which is different from sitting... read more

Leila Tualla

Storm of Hope: God, Preeclampsia, Depression and me is a memoir told in journal entries and poetry from a mom who was diagnosed with preeclampsia. The diagnosis with her second pregnancy propelled the author into a “postpartum forest where the trees of doubt, sorrow, anger and rage loomed all around me.” What becomes to the author and her second baby gives way to hope and a way out of the dark... read more
