A professional book designer with a life-long passion for all things related to books. I run my own small press, and I've been freelancing as a print book designer, cover designer and ebook conversion specialist since 2012. I have an unbroken 5.0-star rating on Elance and numerous happy independent clients. I work in Adobe Creative Suite, DAZ 3D Studio and Microsoft Office on a Windows platform.
I started BLUM in 2006 and spent a full year training myself in every aspect of book design and production, marketing and distribution before I released our first book in 2007. I edit, design, typeset and create cover art for all our titles, and produce press-ready PDFs for print. I launched into ebooks when the Kindle store opened in November 2007; we were in the Kindle store in December. I do web design and am fluent in HTML and CSS, so I hand code all epub editions and use customized epubs to convert to Kindle editions. I design promotional materials including postcards, business cards, flyers and brochures.
