Overview

I love helping people tell their stories. Everyone has a story to tell and I will help you write yours. Whether you're an entrepreneur or an artist, a surgeon or a parent (or both), I can help you communicate your vision, share your wisdom, or your plan to save the world. Whether you need a page turning mystery, a riveting memoir, an industrial how-to, or simply a book as a calling card for your business or lead generation, I will collaborate with you to deliver your manuscript.I work with people across all disciplines, from Seattle to Sydney, and I will deliver a polished, completed manuscript ready for publication.

Past clients have included scientists at the top of their field, entrepreneurs in a wide variety of enterprises, professors, fiction writers -- anyone with a story to tell.I have worked extensively with authors outlining and writing their non-fiction books on topics ranging from business, start-ups, technology, parenting, money management, health & wellness, self-help, religion, creativity, youth development, and memoir. As an author myself, I have published young adult and contemporary romance fiction novels, as well as a non-fiction self-help guide. I have written, directed, and produced two short films, and written several screenplays following completion of UCLA's Professional Program in Screenwriting. I received a B.A. in Film & Theater from Hampshire College, Amherst, MA.

THE PROCESS

I work with authors either in person or via Skype or telephone, most often the latter as busy schedules make this the easiest option for most people. Each project can be tailored to fit the client’s needs based upon how involved they want to be in the process. However, at least a few in-depth interviews are generally required to work through defining the audience, value proposition, client’s goals for the book, and other positioning and marketing information. From there, I build a detailed outline that will be the lighthouse that will guide the writing of the book. I will also work with a client’s previous writing, notes, research (conduct more if necessary), again on a case-by-case basis, dependent upon project needs. The entire process can generally take anywhere from two to six months, depending upon the length of the book.

I am happy to provide ghostwriting and developmental or content editing for fiction, particularly Young Adult or Women's Fiction, Non-Fiction and Memoir.

Thank you!

Best wishes,
Holly
