I am an award-winning author and publishing consultant with over six years experience in the publishing sector. I have worked in illustrated and commercial fiction publishing, in sales, rights, and editorial. My services to authors include developing agent cover letters, developing book proposals, developing sales sheets and project summaries, proofreading manuscripts, and copyediting manuscripts, and general publishing advice.
As an experienced rights manager (co-editions), I have sold content into many markets including Germany, Italy, Portugal, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Greece, Korea and in the UK. This included the work of Alain de Botton, Ernst Gombrich, George Lois and Paul Arden.
Most recently I was an assistant editor on Mobitecture (Phaidon Press) and completed my first book Agnes Martin: Pioneer, Painter Icon (Schaffner Press). I was also awarded funding for an illustrated artist book Yappo, which is created in conjunction with the illustrator Iro Tsavala.
I am interested in literary fiction as well as non-fiction, in particular titles in the humanities. I also have an interest in biography, cinema studies, art history, literary criticism, travel writing, photo books, children's books, and picture books and am looking to work on projects in these areas. As someone who also writes in different formats (short story, TV, theatre) I bring a range of skills and knowledge to every project. I will be able to advise not only on how to improve a manuscript but also the commercial viability of a project across different territories. I look forward to hearing from authors who need practical editorial help and advice, as well as those who need help understanding the industry and how different territories operate.

Responsible for strategy and sales in the independent book sector in the UK, business development and wholesaler account management.
Establishing and growing a database of independent bookshops and other customers in the UK.

I was responsible for establishing a strategy and driving co-edition sales in Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, and in particular our International Editions sales strategy in Germany. Previously I was also responsible for sales in South Korea and Italy.
I was proud to contract Alain de Botton and John Armstrong’s 'Art as Therapy' in Greece, Italy, Turkey, Romania, and Czech Republic – each edition was published with a new partner in these markets.
