In a previous lifetime I had a career in Finance, becoming a Chartered Accountant with a Masters of Commerce working for the Big 4.
I’m currently enrolled in the Master of Creative Writing program at University of Sydney and work as a proofreader and writer for The Australia Times.
I have worked on fiction, academic texts, essays, articles, annual reports, information memorandums, prospectuses, business cases, product disclosure statements, corporate brochures, marketing flyers and websites.
I take joy in being given the opportunity to polish text and help authors to engage their audience. I offer you my years of experience with all aspects of the editorial process: from manuscript assessment, line editing, and structural editing to querying agents, publishers and mentoring. As an author myself, I am careful and conscientious with feedback. As an editor I draw a fine line between nurturing your voice and being true to conventions. I am thorough, insightful and creative, with assured instincts for what makes good writing.
I am experienced in working with authors early on in their careers and developing their writing into confident and professional work.
