Overview

Hi, I'm Geoffrey, a graphic and book designer with over ten years' experience in book design. I've spent years working on a range of subjects, from fiction to non-fiction, in both traditional and independent publishing. I've designed books, ebooks, and periodicals for National Geographic, Harper Collins, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Pearson (now Anspear), Osprey, and many more.

Though I specialise in book design, I am also a branding professional - developing logomarks and ephemera - and a graphic designer working on websites, marketing (both digital and print), and packaging, and a type designer.

Years of experience mean I can turn around cover design and layouts on tight timescales and always to budget. I recognise design as a collaborative process and like to work closely with authors to give them both what they want and what they need to succeed in the market.

I principally work in contemporary fiction, horror, and mystery novels; though, I've designed covers and devised layouts for all manner of subjects, including Young Adult Fiction, Thrillers, Science-fiction, Classic Literature, Fantasy, Illustrated Fiction and Non-fiction, Historical Fiction, Art, Education, Maths, Music, Nature, Technology, Culture & Politics, Finance, History, Law, Design, Music, and Biographies.

As a writer myself, I can understand how much love and passion goes into a project and how we can achieve the best result for you and your book. So let's get started today. I am also an expert at tying my shoelaces, so let me know if you want help with that, too.

Geoffrey took trouble to understand the brief, and delivered on it with creative, professional imagination. His interactions with me were timely, thoughtful and helpful, and he drew on his experience to offer excellent advice on options. Working with him was a pleasure.
