Overview

I have been working as a freelance back-of-book indexer for over 20 years, indexing for such publishers as Cambridge, Oxford, Georgetown, Columbia, Syracuse, and Harvard university presses; Beacon Press; McGraw-Hill; and Random House. I also work directly with authors, including faculty members for a wide variety of colleges and universities.

I have also taught indexing for Columbia College Chicago, Dominican University (Forest Park), and the University of Chicago Graham School of Continuing Studies. I currently serve as one of four instructors for the University of California at Berkeley Extension Division online indexing course.

I am a founding member of the Institute of Certified Indexers, and have served several terms on the board of directors of the American Society for Indexing, including two terms as president.

My indexes significantly enhance an author's work and are always delivered on time and on budget.
