I'm a developmental (macro) nonfiction and children's editor as well as a professional proofreader with a keen awareness of each author's reader avatar. As a mediator between author and reader, I'm here for you.

As for children's books: I've been reading books from the kids' section for over 40 years (I still regularly visit Narnia, Middle Earth, and other such lands) and have taught a number of early readers. I know what makes a story a joy for both children and the adults who read to them. Ever read a picture book to a child for the 100th time? It takes something special to make this a pleasure--and it *can* be done! If you have a picture book or early reader you want Grandpa to enjoy as much as the little ones, I'm here for you.
